Job Description

  • Management of a warehouse and logistics team to ensure stable logistics processes, taking into account internal requirements.
  • Personnel management with all necessary individual tasks (ensuring the induction, assessment and further development of subordinate employees, staff appraisals, etc.)
  • Ensuring the smooth deployment of personnel (based on attendance and absence planning, evaluation of the process organization, etc.)
  • Independent planning and coordination of goods handling and warehouse organization in cooperation with upstream and downstream departments, such as procurement and production
  • Planning of processes in incoming and outgoing goods, as well as control and determination of internal goods transport and storage
  • Monitoring and optimization of loading and storage processes, taking into account internal requirements
  • Initiating the necessary document preparation (e.g. customs documents)
  • Ensuring and planning of inventory controls and inventories
  • Ensuring punctual and timely shipment
  • Ensuring the depreciation, destruction or disposal of goods in accordance with the directive
  • Initiating and ensuring the necessary documentation in compliance with internal requirements
  • Proactive cooperation with internal and external interfaces (e.g. plant and division management, quality, HR, customers)
  • Responsible for compliance with laws and regulations, as well as internal requirements

Qualifications

  • Knowledge acquired as part of a 3-year apprenticeship (technical or commercial focus) and expanded by means of advanced training (e.g. logistics specialist, logistics master).
  • This function requires at least 5 years of experience in a comparable function with corresponding personnel responsibility.
  • Expert knowledge of logistics processes (shipping, warehouse management, warehouse logistics, etc.)
  • Very good knowledge of personnel management and qualification
  • Very good IT skills (MS Office, MES, SAP)
  • Forklift license
  • Knowledge of customs and export regulations
  • Leadership skills, especially in the context of a role model function (integrity, transparency, appreciation)
