Sustainability Environmental Manager

Job Description

  • Develop the sustainability strategy, targets and key performance indicators based on corporate strategy with the involvement of relevant internal  and external stakeholders
  • Analyze the initial situation on various sustainability topics and regulatory issues and decide on the introduction of new concepts, guidelines, processes and tools and are responsible for their design and implementation
  • Prepare decision papers for Executive Board and Sustainability Council
  • Responsible for sustainability reporting (CSR-RUG/GRI, EU Sustainable Finance Taxonomy) as well as relevant ratings and rankings (CDP, Ecovadis).
  • Works with multiple sites to ensure accurate data is reported and manage the information for all aspects of the Sustainability program
  • Lead various working groups and work closely with a wide range of specialist, Risk Management, Controlling, Human Resources, Accounting, Purchasing and Marketing and Development
  • Improve sustainability awareness throughout the organization through training, communication, information and awareness campaigns

Qualifications

  • Environmental Management Degree
  • 2-3 years' experience in a comparable position with focus on the design and implementation of sustainability programs
  • Knowledge in one or more of the following;  GHG Protocol (Scop 1-3), life cycle assessment/carbon footprint determination, responsible sourcing management, sustainability reporting, or sustainable packaging design (Ecodesign/Circular Economy)

Additional Information

Annual Salary $63,000 - $76,000
