Job Description

The Human Resources Manager, Forest Grove Plant is responsible for delivering a full spectrum of people solutions that align with the site goals and maximize business results.  The Human Resources Manager, Forest Grove Plant coaches and develops colleagues in order to deliver people management capabilities, provides organizational insights to make the highest quality decisions, in order to enhance business process flow and mitigate risk.  The Human Resources Manager, Forest Grove Plant provides oversight for all local people functions and serves as the primary interface for the coordination of all human resources and payroll activities.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive and influence the people aspects of organizational change, structures, processes, and initiatives in order to improve operational efficiency and plant team performance.
  • Lead and execute all site human resources ventures, including employee relations, performance management, human resources compliance, organizational development, and training.
  • Manage all human resource policies and programs related to employment law, employee health and safety, staffing, wage and salary compensation, benefits, and worker's compensation.
  • Direct site talent acquisition activities, orchestrate the recruitment and selection process, and be accountable for the overall candidate and hiring manager experience.   
  • Conduct the on-boarding and in-processing for colleagues who are new to the plant, as well as off-boarding for employees who are leaving the organization.
  • Provide performance management guidance to operations management, which includes coaching, counseling, career development, and progressive corrective actions.
  • Investigate and resolve employee relations matters in an equitable and consistent manner that recognizes employee advocacy and protects the business need to operate in an effective and efficient manner. 
  • Deliver innovative programs, tools and processes that enable plant leadership to identify, develop and retain talent, as well as increase employer net promotion.    
  • Promote corporate citizenship and strengthen the relationship, between the Company and the Cumberland County community, measuring and managing the social and environmental impact of plant endeavors.  
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:       

  • Advanced knowledge of Human Resources, Employee Relations, and Organizational Behavior.   
  • Notable human resources accomplishments within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the Life Sciences or Medical Devices or Pharmaceutical industries.
  • Substantial experience with the human resources life cycle, preferably within either the Life Sciences or Medical Devices or Pharmaceutical industries.       
  • Detailed knowledge of vendor relationship management tools to improve project execution and increase colleague satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated ability to hear the Voice of the Customer and align feedback with Company initiatives and goals.
  • Displayed proficiency in navigating ambiguous environments, developing existing and new markets, and achieving revenue targets.

Additional Information

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Willingness to travel a minimum of 20%.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of independence.
  • Ability to learn, understand, and apply the Gerresheimer Management System.
  • Capable of autonomous work in dynamic business environments.
