Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- To coordinate the Glass manager to make smooth melting operations by the control of standard glass recipe based on the requirement of production, customer and within standard specifications set for individual glass.
- To keep control of Incoming raw materials quality based on testing Incoming raw material checks.
- Take control of the final recipe of the final product through the daily testing results.
- Planning of instrumentation calibrations and samples of the final product for various tests to external lab concerning customer requirements.
- Preparing SOP and amendments in ISO as per customer’s requirement.
- To Coordinate production batch house preparation, Glass Melting and quality control analysis and testing.
- Responsible for the technical supervision of the day-to-day laboratory operations involving support staff.
- Responsible for controlling of final glass recipe, and glass colour on day-to-day analysis.
- To coordinate another concerning areas like QA and Sales concerning customer queries.
- Maintain all history of Raw materials and chemical analysis of glass parameters and batch house parameters daily and review periodically.
- To coordinate all Tank Heads concerning batch house operations and reviewing documents for safety and GMP activities.
Qualifications
- Master of Science in Chemistry
- More than 12-15 years’ experience in Glass Industry.
- Good command of written and oral English.
- Familiar with test instrument operation, familiar with laboratory quality management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment with competing priorities.
- Humble, enthusiastic and rigorous, with a taste for the field.
